Cydny began her career as a special education teacher and completed her master’s degree in Leadership in Teaching/Administration before discovering and falling completely in love with behavior analysis. ABA is truly a personal and professional ‘home’ for Cydny as she is dedicated to improving the outcomes and thereby quality of life for the people and animals that she works with. Cydny has been credentialed since 2018 and has worked for Achieving True Self since that time, first as a BCBA and now recently as the Clinical Director of ABA Service for staff in Anne Arundel, Charles, and Prince George's Counties in Maryland. Cydny has been in the field of special education and ABA for over fifteen years and her clinical areas of interest are in early intervention and verbal behavior as well as human-animal interactions and the extension of the science of behavior analysis to improving the quality of life for humans and non-human animals alike.
Cydny’s family includes her husband Mark, their two and a half year old son, Grey, and a menagerie of rescue animals. She lives in Harford County, MD and will take any excuse she can get to be outdoors playing with the kiddo and the pups!
Fun Fact(s) About Cydny: In addition to working with children diagnosed with autism and embracing a passion for teaching communication and life skills, Cydny is the founder and CEO of a non-profit 501c3 animal rescue organization.
