What We Do for Families and People with Autism, Behavioral Health Needs, and/or an Intellectual Disability

Achieving True Self is proud to serve the community at large. Our treatment services are data-driven and delivered through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) -- a practice supported by over six decades of scientific research. Our history and experience providing behavioral health treatment with a strong family systems approach proves effective in assessment and treatment of persons with autism and behavioral health diagnoses in creating sustainable change. Our team members focus on the transference of skills throughout all stages of treatment to support the ultimate independence of the individual served, their family, and their surrounding community.

Achieving True Self continues to increase its offerings to the community, including the expansion of training and consultation opportunities for public and private schools, community outreach, and the development of our ATS Centers for Achievement.

Our approach is, and always will be, to invest in tools that will assist in providing the most effective treatment possible per current evidence-based practice. We also have a strong focus on the training and professional development of ATS team members, enabling them to develop career paths and grow within our organization. At ATS, we believe in investing in our staff, in order to best serve the individuals, families, and communities we support.

ATS currently serves families in Maryland, Pennsylvania, parts of northern Virginia and West Virginia. The process for obtaining services is different between states (and sometimes even between counties) and between payers (i.e. the requirements of commercial insurance or Medicaid). We recognize that can be confusing and quite frustrating at times, and we are committed to streamlining and simplifying the process for your family.
