Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
ATS thrives through its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion so that employees and those we are fortunate to serve feel valued, appreciated, respected, and heard.
The Cultural Competency Committee at ATS is devoted to fostering the journey toward cultural competence within the interactions between staff members, with our clients, and with the families we serve. While culture may be broadly defined, for the purpose of this committee, we focus primarily on the inclusion of the practices, beliefs, and customs of ethnically and racially marginalized groups. We strive to uplift the voices of all marginalized communities by encouraging critical thinking skills surrounding bias and discrimination. We recognize the need to cultivate a space where people feel comfortable asking tough questions, having difficult conversations, and accepting that we can only strive toward competence – but the process is never complete.
