Prior to joining Achieving True Self, Chelsea has held various positions in support roles in classrooms as a paraprofessional, a behavior support staff and a habilitation aide while gaining experience working for children and young adults who are diagnosed with autism and/or emotional and behavioral disorders. Chelsea fell into the field of ABA as a happy accident. When she finished undergrad school, she applied for any job that required a degree in Psychology. Her first job was working in a private special education school as a behavior support staff where she learned firsthand about Applied Behavior Analysis. She worked in that role for several years falling more in love every day with ABA and the idea of being a small part of an individual's success until finally finding herself in graduate school pursuing a Masters in Education specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Chelsea joined Achieving True Self as a BCBA in December of 2019. Throughout her experience at ATS, she has gained a new understanding of what leadership means. She has learned that this career is truly about serving and leading our consumers and team members across all entities. She has grown as an individual learning from the families that she has worked for and through the mentorship of her supervisors. Chelsea believes that client success stories start with a talented and driven team. Since entering her role as a Clinical Director of ABA services for Indiana and Armstrong Counties in April 2023, she plans on making her mission to take ownership in the growth of Achieving True Self and the clinicians that devote their careers to our families and consumers.
