Angela Estrada describes ATS as "the best professional experience I've ever had!" She completed her M.S.Ed. in ABA studies in the Spring of 2021 at Duquesne University. Currently, she is studying to earn her PhD in Education at the University of Pittsburgh where her research interests surround police interactions with marginalized communities.
Immediately after Angela began working at ATS, she joined the Cultural Competency Committee. Shortly after, she became the co-chair of that committee and began to work closely with other leaders on the team to brainstorm ways to promote continued staff engagement and diversification of ATS staff.
While she enjoyed working as an RBT, Angela also wanted to get a bit more experience in a leadership role. To scratch that itch, she applied to and was awarded the position of Talent Development and Learning Specialist. Here, she got the best of both worlds: spending everyday with her kiddos while also fulfilling administrative tasks for the Talent Development and Learning team! She enjoyed working on the TDL team so much that she now does that full time, in addition to school. Angela lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Jose, son Tenoch, and their dog Stamper.
Fun Facts About Angela: She is a VERY proud Chicago native (the CITY, not the suburbs!) and a proud graduate of Spelman College. She is a classically trained pianist, and plays multiple other instruments. Ask her to go to karaoke - she'll never say no!
