A mindful, emotional well-being arts experience

Brought to you by the Penn Trafford Area Recreation Commission (PTARC) and Achieving True Self (ATS)
This program is a process-oriented arts experience that provides tools and exercises around mental health, nervous system regulation, team building and overall emotional well-being for students. The art forms that will be explored include music/rhythm, theater/ensemble building, poetry/writing and movement/dancing. The social objectives are cooperation/teamwork, active listening and sharing, as well as understanding cultural uniqueness of self and peer.
Britt Dorazio is a certified social-emotional arts facilitator and meditation teacher, as well as a working professional in the theater and music industry. She is a native Pittsburgher, receiving her BFA in Musical Theater from Point Park University, Social Emotional Arts Certification from UCLA's Arts & Healing School, and Meditation Certification from Sarvaguna Yoga Institute and Research Academy in Dharamshala, India. She also has many hours of experience with workshops and courses including nervous system regulation, anti-violence in education, ethics, somatic practice,and non-violent communication. She currently teaches voice, rhythm, and movement classes and has been teaching facilitating mindfulness, music, and theater for the past eight years in Pittsburgh and New York City. Britt is deeply passionate about helping people take an active part in their healing and creative process and hopes to bring us closer to ourselves, each other, and the Earth!
